The Department of Cardiac Sciences, division of advanced cardiac imaging, in collaboration with the Postgraduate Training Center (PTC), King Abdulaziz Medical City, Riyadh announces hosting of the First Cardiac Computed Tomography course.

This innovative educational activity will be conducted from 15-17 May 2012. The course is affiliated with the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (SCCT). Every participant who attend this course will be granted the membership for the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Temography, USA

The objective of this educational activity is to understand the role of Cardiac CT in cardiac clinical practice. The interactive lectures will help understand and recognize the appropriate indications for Cardiac CT and learn how to reduce radiation exposure and also recognize the role of competing technologies (Nuclear / MRI) and their strength and limitations.

Dedicated workstations are designed for the participants to learn how to review a Cardiac CT cases, implement the post-processing of computed tomography coronary angiography dataset, recognize typical and complex coronary artery stenosis in computed tomography coronary angiography and detect artifacts in computed tomography coronary angiography.
